Pros: Being remote from Texas as a Project Manager was a big plus for me. The company offers really good work flexibility, which helped with personal stuff. It's great for folks in IT services roles.
Cons: Even with remote work, you're pretty much expected to be online a lot. It wasn't uncommon to work late on software development teams. True flex time outside core hours isn't really a thing in this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: You guys should really encourage managers to set better boundaries. Remote doesn't mean 24/7 availability for us Project Managers.

Pros: Some senior leaders are genuinely supportive. They try to help you grow, which is great if you're a newer Project Manager. The hybrid work schedule here in the Austin, TX office is a big plus.
Cons: But there's a real lack of consistent direction from upper management. Sometimes it feels like they don't even talk to each other, making strategic planning tough for corporate projects. Decisions can be super slow, which bogs everything down.
Advice to Management: Leaders need to communicate better and set clear, unified goals across departments. Streamline the decision-making process for Project Managers and other individual contributors. This would really help with project execution and team morale.

Pros: Job security for senior engineers feels pretty decent if your project is funded. The company is pretty big, so even if one thing shuts down, there's usually another spot. Working remote from Austin, TX has been a solid perk too.
Cons: Layoffs happen, especially when projects don't hit their targets. It can feel like some teams are constantly under the microscope. New initiatives often mean old roles get phased out, which is tough for career growth.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about future plans. It would really help reduce anxiety for employees.
