We are Australia’s leading integrated steel manufacturing, distribution and recycling business, supporting commercial and residential construction, major infrastructure, primary producers and rural sectors. Each day, we partner with Australia to build the structures and systems our communities rely on. Our business brings together recycling, steelmaking and distribution in a circular model. Scrap is collected, processed and remade into new steel, ready to be used again and again. We are Australia’s largest processor and distributor of steel long products, including reinforcing bar, reinforcing mesh, tubular and hollow sections, merchant bar and wire products. This is delivered through a workforce of over 4,000 people and a national network of more than 140 sites. We are focused on transforming the construction industry through lower embodied carbon solutions, improving productivity and delivering for our customers. Every day, we are building futures through sustainable steel. InfraBuild has been recognised as a Gold Winner in the 2026 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work, reflecting our focus on our people, safety and development.

Pros: You feel secure here. InfraBuild is a big corporate player in steel manufacturing, so the job security as a Sales Representative felt really solid. We always had work and consistent clients across Australia.
Cons: Career growth isn't super fast. For sales roles, the culture can be a bit old-school, and there wasn't much work flexibility compared to other industries. Getting new tech for the construction materials industry was tough sometimes.
Advice to Management: Consider faster career pathing for good performers and embrace more modern sales technology across the business.
