Okay for a big corporate, leadership could be better
Pros: As a Network Engineer at TPG Telecom, I've had pretty solid job security. The scale of the telecommunications industry here in Sydney means there's always work to do. They do offer decent benefits for a corporate environment.
Cons: Leadership can be pretty disconnected from day-to-day operations. There's not much clear vision from the top, especially for technical roles. It feels like they don't really listen to feedback from the teams on the ground.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more with engineering teams. Listen to the folks on the ground for real-world insights, especially when making big decisions that impact network infrastructure and our customers.

Okay Work-Life, Could Be Better for Support Staff
Pros: They do offer some hybrid work options for certain roles, which helps a bit. The team in the Sydney office is generally supportive, making tough days easier when you're dealing with customers.
Cons: As a Customer Service Representative, the call volumes can be relentless. It's hard to really switch off after an 8-hour shift in the telecommunications industry, and overtime isn't always paid.
Advice to Management: Managers should really look at staffing levels and implement better breaks. It would help a lot with burnout for frontline customer service roles.

Career Path Feels Stagnant for Product Roles
Pros: The job security here is pretty solid. As a Product Manager, you get to work on interesting projects within the telecommunications industry. The pay and benefits are decent for the Sydney office.
Cons: Career growth is tough. There aren't clear promotion paths for product roles at TPG Telecom. You can really feel stuck, and internal movement is pretty slow in this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career progression frameworks. Invest in training and mentorship for employees, especially for product roles. It would help a lot with retention and morale.
