Leadership has its moments, good and bad
My time as a Software Engineer at CODE.ID has been a bit of a rollercoaster, especially with management styles. Some parts are solid, others really need work.
Some of the direct team leads in the Austin, TX office are genuinely good, really supportive if you're a Software Engineer working on projects. The hybrid work model is also a plus, letting me balance my time. We get decent modern tools for software development.
Upper management often feels disconnected from the day-to-day, especially for a mid-sized tech company. Decisions can take forever, which is tough in a fast-paced tech industry. There isn't much transparency from leadership about big company changes.
Try to be more visible and transparent with the teams, especially us Software Engineers in the Austin, TX office. Faster decision-making from the top would help a lot with project momentum in the tech industry.
