Gree Indonesia: Decent Place, But Culture Needs Work
Pros: It's a pretty stable multinational corporate, especially in the HVAC and home appliance industry. The product range is good, which helps as a Sales Executive. There's also a decent team spirit among colleagues, which makes the day-to-day more bearable.
Cons: The company culture can be really tough. It's super hierarchical, and getting decisions made often takes forever. Communication from upper management, especially for us in the Jakarta office, isn't always clear, which makes goal setting hard for sales teams.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on improving internal communication and empowering local teams. It'd help a lot if they listened more to feedback from frontline staff, especially for sales and marketing professionals.

Decent place for sales, but WFH is rare
Pros: The team at PT Gree Electric Appliances Indonesia is generally supportive. It's a stable company in the home appliances industry, which is good. For Sales Representative roles, you get solid product training and clear targets.
Cons: Work flexibility is a real challenge here. There's almost no WFH option, even when it feels like it could work for some tasks. Expect to be at the Jakarta office or out in the field most days, which makes personal appointments tough to schedule for the field sales teams.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing more hybrid work options, especially for roles where onsite presence isn't strictly necessary. It would really help with employee morale and retention in the electronics sector.

Steady work, but sales targets are tough
Pros: Job security is solid here; it's a big corporate company in the home appliance industry. As a Sales Executive in the Jakarta office, you get steady work. The base salary is pretty decent too.
Cons: But man, those sales targets for sales roles are really demanding. It's tough on work-life balance, and there's no real WFH flexibility. Career growth can feel slow unless you're always crushing your numbers.
Advice to Management: Management should re-evaluate sales targets to ensure a more sustainable work-life balance for sales staff. Consider more flexible work options to support employee well-being.

Decent pay, but benefits are lacking for sales
Pros: For a Sales Executive in the home appliances industry, the base pay is actually pretty solid. Commissions are there if you hustle, and I always get paid on time. That's a huge plus, especially working in the Jakarta office.
Cons: The benefits really aren't great. Health insurance is super basic, and there aren't many other perks to speak of. Things like dental or a better retirement plan are definitely missing. It feels a bit behind for a large company.
Advice to Management: Seriously, look into upgrading the benefits package, especially health coverage. It would make a big difference in attracting and keeping good talent in this competitive electronics manufacturing market.

Pay could be better for the workload
Pros: The health benefits package is actually pretty solid. It covers a lot of essentials, which is a big relief. You get a basic transport allowance, which helps with client visits for those of us in sales roles across Jakarta. They do offer some product discounts on their home appliances, which is a nice perk sometimes.
Cons: Base salary for a Sales Executive here is definitely on the lower side, especially for the consumer electronics industry. It's tough to hit commission targets sometimes, and the bonus structure isn't very clear or motivating. I've seen better overall compensation packages at other corporate distributors in the area. Pay and benefits just don't feel competitive.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to re-evaluate the pay scales, especially for sales roles. A more competitive base salary and clearer, achievable commission structures would boost morale and attract better talent in the Indonesian home appliances market.

Okay for entry-level sales, tough to advance
Pros: As a Sales Associate, you get solid experience in the home appliances industry, especially with air conditioning products. The base pay is decent for the Jakarta office, and you learn a lot about consumer electronics. It's a good spot if you're just starting in sales.
Cons: But career growth? It's pretty limited for sales roles here. There aren't many clear paths to move up, and promotions feel few and far between. You don't get much formal training to really develop new skills for higher positions in this large corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Management should invest more in clear training programs and create a more transparent path for career growth, especially for Sales Associates. Recognize and reward performance better to retain talent.

Okay Balance, Depends on the Season
Pros: As a Marketing Specialist in the Jakarta office, some weeks are pretty decent. I usually get my weekends to myself, which is good. The team collaboration is strong and helpful, especially for new campaign ideas.
Cons: During peak seasons or new product launches in the home appliances industry, be ready for really long days. It's common to work 10-12 hours, sometimes more. There isn't much work flexibility for this role, you're expected to be onsite most of the time.
Advice to Management: Try to staff up more during critical project phases so the core team isn't consistently overworked. Better planning could help smooth out those intense periods.
