Pros: I've learned a ton about the consumer electronics industry here. As a Product Development Engineer, I got hands-on with some neat projects. Plus, the hybrid work setup in the San Jose, CA office was pretty good.
Cons: Career growth for Product Development Engineer roles just isn't very clear. You can feel stuck without a new senior role opening up. There aren't many defined internal promotion paths, honestly.
Advice to Management: Management should really work on clearer career paths, especially for us engineers. Offer more ways to develop skills and maybe create more internal leadership roles.

Pros: My direct team leads and senior engineers were awesome mentors for a Junior Software Engineer. There's good job security, especially in our manufacturing tech area, and the hybrid work option in the Frankfurt office was a definite plus. You'll learn a lot from your peers.
Cons: Upper leadership often seemed out of touch with the reality of software development, setting unrealistic deadlines for new product development. Career growth for individual contributors isn't super clear. It felt like you needed to go into management to move up here.
Advice to Management: Listen more to your software development teams and technical leads. Understand the software lifecycle better when setting project timelines. Also, consider clearer career paths for engineers who don't want to move into management.
