Pros: Some senior managers in the Toronto office are genuinely helpful for Account Coordinators. You learn a lot if you're proactive in this advertising industry. It's a solid place for initial media planning roles experience.
Cons: Upper leadership isn't very transparent about company direction. There's often a disconnect between their goals and what's practical for onsite teams. It feels like they don't really get the day-to-day challenges.
Advice to Management: Try to be more visible and connect with the Account Coordinators and other junior staff. Understanding ground-level challenges would help avoid burnout and improve morale in the Toronto office.

Pros: I loved working with fellow outdoor enthusiasts and helping customers find the right gear. There's a real sense of community among the staff in the Vancouver, BC store. We often shared tips on hiking or climbing, which made the day go by fast.
Cons: The pay for a Retail Sales Associate felt pretty low, especially for living in Vancouver. This made it tough to feel truly valued sometimes, and it definitely impacted morale. Leadership could also be a bit out of touch with the realities of daily retail operations.
Advice to Management: Focus more on competitive pay for entry-level retail roles. This would really boost the team's spirits and help retain great staff who know a lot about outdoor retail.
