Solid field team, corporate culture needs a refresh
Working at TK Elevator as a Field Service Technician had its ups and downs. The team in the field is usually solid, but the overall corporate culture can feel a bit stuck in the past, especially when it comes to adopting new tech or ideas for the elevator industry.
I really liked my direct team. Everyone as a Field Service Technician worked well together. There's a decent sense of camaraderie among the onsite crew, which is important when you're out there every day.
The biggest issue is the corporate culture. It feels pretty old-school, and there's a lot of resistance to change or new tech in the elevator industry. Innovation often gets bogged down, making daily tasks harder than they need to be.
Seriously consider new ideas from the ground up. Listen to what your Field Service Technicians are saying about processes and technology. Embrace modernization to stay competitive in the elevator industry.
