Shift work can be tough in Dubai
Pros: As a Ground Operations Agent, the job security is pretty solid with this global company. We get decent health benefits for working in aviation services. There's a set shift schedule, so you usually know your days.
Cons: Work flexibility here isn't great, especially with constant last-minute changes in airport logistics. It's mostly onsite, so remote work isn't an option. Balancing personal life with early mornings and late nights is a real challenge.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to look into better shift scheduling. It would help a lot with employee morale and retention if the work-life balance improved for frontline staff. Less unexpected changes would be a huge plus.

Cons: The corporate culture can feel a bit rigid and bureaucratic sometimes, which slows things down. There's often a disconnect between frontline staff and higher management, impacting morale. It's not always easy to feel heard within such a large structure.
Advice to Management: Work on bridging the gap between leadership and frontline teams to improve communication and morale. Foster a more agile culture that empowers employees and values their input, especially for those in airport operations.

Tough Shift Work, Good Pay, Zero Flexibility
Pros: The pay and benefits are actually pretty decent for an aviation industry role, especially here in Dubai. It's a very stable company, so job security in ground services isn't a huge worry. You learn a lot about airport operations.
Cons: Work flexibility is practically nonexistent. As a Cargo Operations Agent, you're stuck with strict, rotating shift work, and there's absolutely no remote or WFH option for this kind of onsite work. It's hard to plan anything outside of work.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into better ways to manage shift swapping or offer some kind of incentive for the tough hours. Even a little more understanding for personal time would go a long way for ground handling staff.
