Remote Software Engineer: Job Security's Not Great
Pros: I've learned a ton as a Software Engineer, especially working with the latest tools in the SaaS industry. And honestly, being fully remote is a huge perk for my schedule.
Cons: But the job security? It's just not there. We've seen a few rounds of layoffs recently, and it makes everyone on the team super nervous. Feels like a constant threat.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. It would really help ease the constant worry about job cuts.

Career Path is Unclear for Recruiters Here
Pros: The team's pretty solid and I definitely learned a ton about the tech talent acquisition space. The initial training for new recruiters was actually quite decent, especially in the Austin office.
Cons: There's just not much room to move up as a Technical Recruiter. You hit a ceiling really fast at this mid-sized staffing firm. No clear promotion path if you're not going into management.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer promotion frameworks for recruiting roles. Give people a tangible reason to stay and grow beyond just being a senior recruiter.
