Career Growth is a Bit Slow at Goodman
Pros: I've learned a ton about HVAC systems and their distribution network. There are decent training resources available if you seek them out. It's a stable job in a large corporate environment.
Cons: Career progression for sales roles feels really slow here. There isn't a clear path to move up, even with good performance. I didn't see many internal promotion opportunities at the Houston office.
Advice to Management: Create more transparent promotion pathways for employees. Invest in clear mentorship programs for career development, especially for experienced sales reps.

Tough on Flexibility for Field Roles
Pros: As a Field Service Technician, you're out in the HVAC industry, which means no micromanagement on specific job sites. There's good job security here, and the benefits package is decent for a corporate company.
Cons: Work flexibility here is pretty much nonexistent for us. Forget about WFH or a hybrid model; it's strictly onsite. Scheduling personal appointments or getting last-minute time off can be a real headache.
Advice to Management: Consider how you can offer even a small amount of flexibility for onsite roles, maybe with rotating schedules or more understanding around personal time. It would really boost morale in the field.

Good for starting out, but growth is slow
Pros: The training program for new HVAC Technician roles is pretty solid. You learn a lot if you're new to the residential HVAC industry, which is a big plus. Job security is also good with the demand for our products.
Cons: Honestly, career growth here is tough. It feels like you hit a ceiling fast for onsite work, and promotions are rare. There aren't many clear paths to move up unless someone retires.
Advice to Management: Management should really invest in developing clearer career paths for experienced HVAC Technician roles. More internal training for leadership positions or specialized skills would make a huge difference for employee retention.
