Pros: I appreciate the continuous learning environment; there are always new threats to analyze and technologies to master. The benefits package is competitive for a cybersecurity role, and the pay is fair. My colleagues are super supportive, making the remote work feel connected. Management encourages training and growth, which is fantastic for career development. The fully remote structure really helps with work-life balance.
Cons: The promotion process can sometimes feel a bit slower than I'd like, especially for advancing to higher-level security engineer roles. While communication is generally good, streamlining cross-team updates for complex incidents could be improved. It's a fast-paced managed security services provider (MSSP) environment, so busy periods are common, but sometimes it feels a bit intense.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer, more frequent communication channels between different security operations teams to enhance incident response coordination. Additionally, explore avenues to accelerate career progression paths for experienced analysts.

Pros: I loved the full remote work setup; it made managing personal life so much easier. Being able to WFH from Dallas meant no commute. For cybersecurity roles, that's a big deal.
Cons: The on-call schedule is pretty demanding for Security Analysts. It's hard to truly disconnect sometimes. There's also quite a bit of pressure in Managed Detection and Response (MDR) that can make long weeks feel even longer.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to ease the burden of on-call rotations for Security Analysts. Maybe larger teams or better shift distribution could help improve work-life balance.
