Culture's okay, but needs some work
Pros: The team I worked directly with was pretty solid; we had good camaraderie, which made daily tasks easier for a Junior Software Developer. There's also decent coffee in the Austin, TX office.
Cons: The overall company culture feels a bit disconnected, especially with the hybrid work setup. Communication from leadership isn't always clear, and it sometimes feels like individual teams are islands, which isn't great for a mid-sized tech company.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more cross-team collaboration and improve leadership transparency. More social events for hybrid teams could help strengthen the overall company culture.

Good Stability and Job Security Here
Pros: Job security here is a big plus. As a Software Engineer, I've always had consistent client projects, even when the tech industry had some layoffs. They keep us busy, which means less worry about your position.
Cons: Career growth can feel a bit slow for IT roles, especially if you want to jump up fast. It's not the fastest-paced environment, and sometimes the tech stack feels a little behind. Don't expect rapid promotions.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more clear paths for career progression, especially for technical staff. Also, look into updating some of the older tech stacks to keep things fresh for developers.

Decent IT work, but pay could improve
Pros: The health benefits package is actually quite good here, and the 401k match is solid. For entry-level software developer roles, the starting salary isn't bad compared to other mid-sized IT solutions firms.
Cons: Salary raises are pretty slow to come by, even for experienced software developers. It's tough to get market-rate pay, and the overall compensation package feels a bit basic compared to what big tech offers.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing compensation bands more regularly and offering competitive salaries. It's hard to retain good IT talent if they can get significantly more elsewhere.
