Work-life balance is a real mixed bag
Pros: The company offers a pretty solid hybrid model, which is nice. We get good WFH days, especially for *Software Engineer* roles. The *Austin, TX office* environment is generally pretty chill when you are on-site.
Cons: However, some *engineering projects* involve brutal crunch times. It's tough to consistently maintain a 40-hour week, and you can feel pressured to be available constantly. It's not always sustainable.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project loads and set more realistic deadlines. It would really help reduce burnout among the *engineering staff* and improve overall morale.

Okay for growth, but work-life balance struggles.
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the projects are genuinely interesting, especially in the defense tech industry. You learn a lot from senior engineers, and the team in the Austin, TX office is pretty solid. They do offer a hybrid work model, which is nice.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a real struggle here. I often found myself working well over 40-hour weeks. It's tough to switch off, and management constantly pushes for aggressive deadlines, which impacts your personal time.
Advice to Management: Leadership needs to really look at project timelines and staffing levels. Expecting consistent 50-60 hour weeks from engineers isn't sustainable. A better work-life balance would seriously boost morale and retention.

Good First Job, But Growth Stalls Out
Pros: As a Software Engineer I, I learned a lot. The senior engineers were good mentors, especially in our Austin, TX office. It's solid for getting basic experience in the Software Engineering industry.
Cons: Career growth here is tough. There aren't many clear paths to move up past a certain point. Promotions are slow, and I felt stuck after a couple of years. It's not a place for rapid advancement.
Advice to Management: Create clearer progression paths for mid-level engineers. Invest in more training for advanced skills.
