The Procurement Officer supports the procurement team in sourcing goods and services, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors. This role is also suitable for fresh graduates who are eager to build a career in procurement and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and processing of Purchase Orders (PO)
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotations and follow up on orders
- Support sourcing activities including supplier onboarding and maintain vendor database
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely delivery of goods/services
- Assist in price comparison and basic sourcing activities
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with procurement policies
- Support contract administration and filing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs
- Handle administrative procurement tasks as assigned
- Support Adhoc projects/initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any major
- Preferably at least 1 - 2 years of experience as indirect procurement buyer, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes is a plus
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Internship experience in procurement or supply chain
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
