- Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulations throughout the construction process
- Identify and assess risks associated with construction projects, implement strategies to mitigate risks, and minimize potential financial losses.
- Review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, negotiate pricing, and recommend the most cost-effective solutions.
- Manage project budgets throughout all phases, from initial estimates to final account, tracking costs, and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects and monitor project costs and expenditures.
- Support tendering, procurement, and contract administration activities throughout project execution.
- Provide expert advice on procurement, risk management and cost-saving measures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in tall building, high-rise, and mixed-use construction projects.Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost estimation, and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Budget Plans (RAB).
- Familiar with contract law, construction contracts, tender processes, and subcontract administration.
- Proficient Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, sustainability practices, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
