Description
Field Operations and Supervision
- Developing and applicating technology to supervise the daily activities of field teams, including drilling, sampling, mapping, and data
collection.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of geophysical logging and core sampling procedures.
- Provide on-site problem solving to keep operations running smoothly.
Project Planning & Logistics
- Develop and execute exploration work plans and budgets in collaboration with the Exploration Manager.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop logistics strategies to support projects, including forecasting material and equipment needs.
Data Management and Technology Improvement
- Oversee the proper collection, storage, and management of geological data and core logs.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports on exploration activities.
- Drive Technology Improvement initiatives, such as implementing predictive maintenance (e.g., using rig sensors) and Data
Digitalization (web- or app-based systems).
HSE and Stakeholder Management
- Enforce company HSE policies, SOPs, and procedures among all team members and contractors.
- Manage relationships with contractors, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of services.
- Support cross-functional teams (permitting, procurement, etc.) for smooth project execution.
Specifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mining, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of drilling activities and sampling procedures.
- Familiarity with industry software (e.g., Minescape, QGIS).
- Knowledge of Sensor/IoT technology and Language programming is highly valued.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and contractors.
