Pay is Decent, Benefits are Just Okay

Pros: The medical benefits here are pretty solid, better than some other companies in the Penang semiconductor industry. You also get a good amount of annual leave, which is nice for an onsite Hardware Engineer role. There's a decent employee provident fund contribution too.
Cons: Base salary isn't super competitive for a mid-sized company in this region, especially for experienced chip design engineers. Bonuses aren't always consistent, so don't count on them for a big chunk of your income. It's not a deal-breaker, but there's room for improvement.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing and increasing base salaries to be more competitive for Hardware Engineer and other technical roles in the semiconductor industry. More consistent and transparent bonus structures would also help retain talent. Show more
