Solid job, but don't expect fast changes
Pros: Job security here is pretty solid. As a Logistics Coordinator, the work for this mid-sized company is consistent; there's always cargo moving through the warehouse. It's a stable place if you're looking for steady employment in the logistics industry.
Cons: Career growth isn't fast, especially for roles in freight forwarding or warehouse operations. You might feel a bit stuck without much upward mobility. Pay raises are also slow, which can be tough.
Advice to Management: Consider clearer career paths and more competitive compensation plans to retain good talent. Invest in employee development beyond just the day-to-day operations.

Okay for stability, not for moving up
Pros: It's a pretty stable job if you're looking for consistent onsite work in the export and transit industry. The team's decent, and you get to learn the basics of Malaysian customs processes. Good for entry-level positions.
Cons: Career growth for Logistics Coordinator roles is really slow here. There's not much structure for promotions or new responsibilities. You pretty much do the same thing every day. Development opportunities are limited, which is tough.
Advice to Management: Please create clearer paths for career progression and offer more training for employees. It would help a lot with motivation and retention.

Work-life balance is a real struggle for operations
Pros: The team in the Port Klang office is pretty solid, so you don't feel completely alone dealing with urgent shipments. When everything goes smoothly, which isn't always, you might actually get your regular 8-hour day for operations roles. There's good exposure to the logistics industry.
Cons: Honestly, as a Logistics Coordinator, you're always on call, even after your shift. Expect late nights and sometimes weekend calls, especially with unexpected delays in the transit warehouse. It makes it super tough to maintain any personal life outside of work.
Advice to Management: Try to implement clearer shift rotations and better staffing to reduce the burden of on-call work for the logistics team. Investing in more efficient systems could also help manage unexpected cargo and transit issues without constantly relying on employees' personal time.
