Adept started its humble beginning in 2010 as a small outfit in Singapore, designing and developing innovative financial performance management solutions for listed companies and MNCs in Southeast Asia. Pros: As a Technical Consultant, the hybrid model in the Austin, TX office helps a lot. I could mostly stick to a 45-50 hour work week, which is solid for enterprise software implementations. They don't usually push crazy deadlines or weekend work.
Cons: Sometimes projects ramp up and you're working more than you'd like. There's pressure during critical delivery phases, which can make consistent work-life balance tricky. You can't always disconnect easily from client demands.
Advice to Management: Keep pushing for predictable schedules, even during peak project times. Help project managers manage client expectations better so consultants aren't always firefighting.
