Pros: We do get decent medical coverage, which is a plus for employees and their families. The annual leave policy is also pretty standard and you can actually use your days. As a Manufacturing Engineer, I appreciate the stable work environment.
Cons: The base salary for technical roles like mine is definitely below market rate in Shah Alam, Selangor. Don't expect big annual bonuses or significant raises, even after performing well. It's tough to feel valued financially in this mid-sized company.
Advice to Management: Seriously re-evaluate your compensation strategy for skilled technical roles. We need competitive salaries to attract and retain talent in the laser technology industry.
