Pros: They do offer a hybrid model which is a solid perk, especially in the Singapore office. Coming in a few days a week works for some, giving a bit of WFH balance. There's some trust in getting your dev work done.
Cons: True remote work isn't really an option for my role as a Software Engineer. Sometimes the 'flexible hours' just mean working late to meet deadlines. The startup environment means expectations are consistently high.
Advice to Management: Really define what "flexibility" means for different roles, especially for critical engineering positions. Don't just say it, actually implement it across all teams to avoid burnout in this competitive fintech startup space.
