Production Supervisor

Leadership's okay, but it's a big place.
Pros: You'll find pretty solid job security here, especially for onsite roles in the food manufacturing sector. Some senior leaders are really experienced and provide good guidance on daily operations and managing raw materials. It's a big corporate place, so there's stability.
Cons: Upper leadership can be a bit resistant to change. As a Production Supervisor in Shah Alam, I've seen it's hard to get innovative ideas for process improvements off the ground. There's not much focus on career growth for production roles, it feels like they don't really push you.
Advice to Management: Try to be more open to new ideas from lower management, especially for those in production and quality control. Encourage more internal training programs.

Decent, but demanding work-life balance here
Pros: You get solid pay and benefits for the manufacturing sector. As a Production Supervisor, my team members are generally helpful. It's mostly predictable hours since it's an onsite role.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a struggle during peak seasons or urgent food production runs. Weekend shifts are common, which really cuts into personal time. Sometimes it feels like you're always connected, even off the clock.
Advice to Management: Try to staff more during busy periods to lessen the burden on existing teams. Clearer boundaries for off-hours communication would also help a lot with employee burnout.

Stable Role with Solid Job Security in Food Production
Pros: Good company with great future forward
Cons: Work-life balance concerns in some departments
Advice to Management: Continue to monitor workload distribution, especially in high-pressure departments, to maintain overall employee well-being and prevent burnout. Ensure consistent application of policies across all shifts and locations.
