Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus, giving good flexibility for us Software Engineers. My direct manager for insurtech solutions was pretty supportive, which helped a lot. Pay is decent for a mid-sized company in Dallas, TX.
Cons: Upper management in this insurance tech company often feels out of touch. They don't communicate project changes well, especially for policy management. New leaders don't get enough training, which creates a lot of stress.
Advice to Management: Invest in proper leadership training. Especially for new managers and senior leaders. They really need to understand the challenges of developing insurtech solutions. Please improve communication across departments.
