Pros: Some team leads are understanding, so I could occasionally work from home for personal stuff, which was a plus for a Production Engineer. It's also decent for quick appointments; they don't always fuss about leaving early. That helps a bit with work-life balance.
Cons: Most of the job is strictly onsite in the Kuala Lumpur office. There aren't real hybrid options for many roles, especially not in semiconductor manufacturing. It feels like they really want everyone physically present, even when it's not strictly necessary.
Advice to Management: Try to be more open to actual hybrid work arrangements where feasible, especially for roles that don't require constant factory floor presence. It would really boost morale and show you trust your employees.
