Solid Core Business, But Market Can Be Tough
Pros: If you're good at selling tech products, you can feel pretty secure. The company has a solid customer base for popular gadgets. Being an onsite employee means consistent hours.
Cons: Job security for a Retail Sales Associate can feel a bit shaky with market shifts, especially for junior roles. There's always worry about new competitors in the Kuala Lumpur market or big online sales.
Advice to Management: Think about clearer paths for job security and growth for your retail team. It would really help morale.

Leadership is hit or miss in IT retail
Pros: My direct store manager was usually pretty good and supportive for a retail sales associate. We got decent onsite training for new gadgets, which was helpful for explaining products to customers. You're always learning about the latest consumer electronics.
Cons: Upper management leadership often seems out of touch with the daily grind on the sales floor. It's tough to feel heard as a Sales Associate when decisions feel disconnected from our reality in the Kuala Lumpur stores. Communication from the higher-ups isn't always clear or consistent, especially for us onsite staff.
Advice to Management: Spend more time with the front-line retail staff. Understand the challenges of selling consumer electronics daily. Improve communication channels for all employees.
