Stable, Supportive, and Flexible for Engineers
Pros: As an Applications Engineer, I enjoy the stable environment and supportive teammates at Molex. There are good learning opportunities in electronics manufacturing, and the hybrid work setup provides solid work-life balance. It's a great place to develop your technical skills and feel secure in your job.
Cons: While decent, the pace for career advancement can sometimes feel a bit slow without constant proactive effort. Some internal approval processes also take longer than ideal, occasionally impacting project timelines.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval processes and clearly outline career progression paths for employees to foster faster growth and reduce frustration.

Stable Company, Good Benefits for Engineers
Pros: As a Manufacturing Engineer at Molex in Lisle, IL, I've found it to be a very stable company in the electronic components manufacturing industry. The pay is competitive, and the benefits package is a big plus. There are good opportunities to learn, and colleagues are supportive.
Cons: Career progression can feel slow for experienced engineers. Occasional busy periods on the manufacturing floor mean longer hours. Some older internal systems are present.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving career path clarity and addressing bottlenecks in the promotion process for long-term employees. Consider reviewing and modernizing internal systems.

Quality Engineer

Decent hybrid setup, but could be better.
Pros: The hybrid work model is pretty good. I can usually make my 3 days in the Lisle, IL office work around personal stuff. It's a decent perk in the manufacturing sector.
Cons: Full remote isn't really an option for most engineering roles, especially as a Quality Engineer. We're often tied to equipment testing schedules. It'd be nice to get more trust for WFH when project demands allow.
Advice to Management: Consider expanding trust for remote work options where practical for engineering teams. More flexibility could really boost morale for roles like Quality Engineer without impacting productivity.
