Pros: Great place for career growth in the data center industry. As a Data Center Technician, I get hands-on with cool infrastructure and learn a lot. There's good potential for professional development and learning new skills, especially with the company's focus on hyperscale operations. My colleagues are also super supportive.
Cons: Sometimes the approval processes can be a bit slow, especially for new projects. Also, the path to promotion could be clearer.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval workflows and clearly outlining career progression paths for technical roles to retain top talent.

Pros: The standard PTO policy is pretty decent for a corporate tech environment. I appreciated the flexibility on some days to work a hybrid model, which isn't always common for data center operations roles.
Cons: But the on-call schedule as a Data Center Technician can really mess with your personal life. There are definitely times you're working more than 40-hour weeks, especially during incidents or upgrades in the Phoenix, AZ facility.
Advice to Management: Try to improve the on-call burden for Data Center Technicians, maybe by increasing team sizes or better scheduling tools. A more predictable work schedule would really help retention.

Pros: You get good job security in the data center industry. Vantage is growing, so there’s always a need for people. As an onsite Data Center Technician, I never really worried about layoffs.
Cons: The work-life balance can be tough for onsite staff, it's pretty demanding. Career growth paths aren't always super clear, which can be frustrating. Pay is decent, but some big tech companies offer more.
Advice to Management: Focus on defining clearer career progression for technical roles. Try to improve the work-life balance for the onsite teams, it gets intense.
