Okay balance for a fast-paced tech company
Pros: The hybrid work model is a huge plus, giving some flexibility. You do get good PTO, which helps recharge after busy periods. For an e-commerce role, that's not always a given.
Cons: Project deadlines often lead to unexpected late nights. The on-call schedule for engineers can be tough to manage with a personal life. It's hard to truly unplug at times.
Advice to Management: Try to staff projects better to prevent burnout during critical launches. More predictable schedules would really help with employee morale.

Solid Base, but Raises are Just Okay
Pros: The base salary is actually pretty competitive for a **fintech startup** in Chicago. Our health benefits package for the **Chicago office** is also quite good, better than some other companies I've seen in the **e-commerce marketplace** space.
Cons: The annual raises don't really keep up with inflation for **engineering roles**, which is tough. And honestly, the stock options for a **startup** of this size aren't super exciting just yet.
Advice to Management: Consider clearer paths for significant salary growth and a more attractive stock option plan to retain top talent.

Leadership Is Okay, Could Be Better
Pros: Some of the senior leaders are really smart and have a clear vision for the e-commerce platform. They do encourage new ideas, which is great for product roles. We get decent benefits and good work flexibility.
Cons: Communication from the top often feels a bit disjointed. It's tough to get clear direction sometimes, especially as a remote Product Manager. Decisions can feel rushed or change quickly without much explanation.
Advice to Management: Work on consistent communication and make sure strategy is clearly articulated to all teams, especially for those of us working remotely. Transparency about company goals and leadership changes would really help.
