Okay Pay, Benefits Could Be Stronger
I worked at Programmed as a Recruitment Consultant for a few years. It's a big corporate company, and while the day-to-day was generally fine, the pay and benefits package wasn't really competitive for the labor hire industry in Sydney. It's okay, but don't expect to get rich.
The base salary was decent enough, especially when I was starting out as a Recruitment Consultant. You do get standard corporate benefits like basic health insurance, which is a plus. Quarterly bonuses were achievable if you consistently hit your targets.
However, the pay raises were pretty small, even with good performance. For a Recruitment Consultant in the Sydney office, the total compensation package felt a bit behind market rates compared to other companies in the labor hire industry. The superannuation contributions were just the minimum, and there weren't many extra perks or significant pay increases that come with more experience. It makes it tough to stay long-term for onsite work.
Review the compensation structure for key roles like Recruitment Consultants. Better pay and more competitive benefits would really help with employee retention, especially in a city like Sydney where cost of living is high. Look at what competitors in the labor hire industry are offering to keep good talent.
