WFH is decent, but hybrid can be tricky
Pros: I really appreciate the work from home options for a small SaaS startup. As a Product Manager, I could mostly set my own hours, which was nice. They're usually pretty understanding if you need to step away during the day.
Cons: The hybrid model makes it tough to plan sometimes. We'd have some weeks where everyone needed to be in the office, making 'remote from Seattle' less true. It wasn't always clear when the 'flexible' part actually applied for software development tasks.
Advice to Management: Just be clearer about hybrid expectations. If it's WFH mostly, commit to that. If it's truly hybrid, make the in-office days consistent across teams.

Leadership is okay, but needs more vision.
Pros: Some of the project leads are really solid; they're supportive and understand the technical challenges. For early career engineers, there's decent mentorship if you seek it out. The hybrid work model is flexible too, which is a plus.
Cons: The executive leadership often struggles with clear communication on the overall company direction. This impacts our SaaS product development. Decisions can feel a bit arbitrary, which is tough for long-term planning for us as software engineers.
Advice to Management: Executive leadership needs to articulate a clearer, long-term vision for Oshi. It would really help teams like ours in SaaS product development if there was more transparency in decision-making and less frequent shifts in priorities.
