Great Place for Market Research Careers
Pros: I've really learned a lot here as a Research Analyst. You get to work on cool market research projects with supportive colleagues. The hybrid model in New York City helps with work-life balance, and there's good exposure to different industries. It's a stable global firm.
Cons: Workload can be demanding sometimes, especially near deadlines, leading to longer hours. Career progression isn't always super clear, which can be a bit frustrating for career development.
Advice to Management: Continue to focus on transparent career pathing and perhaps consider initiatives to help manage peak period workloads more effectively.

Pay isn't great, but benefits are okay
Pros: Ipsos does offer pretty solid health insurance, which is a big plus for a big corporate firm. The 401k match kicks in quickly too. For hybrid work, the Chicago office benefits like transit are decent.
Cons: The base salary for a Research Analyst in market research is definitely on the lower side, especially for Chicago. Raises are minimal; don't expect big jumps each year. Bonuses aren't really a thing for entry-level roles either.

Hybrid Model is Okay for Market Research
Pros: The hybrid work model is a solid perk. For a big corporate firm in New York City, being able to WFH two days a week as a Research Analyst was pretty decent. It helped with my commute.
Cons: Sometimes the project demands can suddenly shift, making your remote days difficult. It's not always consistent, and some teams have less flexibility than others. Making last-minute changes can be a hassle.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policies more across different departments and teams. Give managers clearer guidelines on approving flexible schedules.
