Pros: Some managers are really supportive and help you grow as an Event Coordinator. You can learn a lot about the event management industry from specific team leads. Remote work is generally supported by immediate managers.
Cons: Upper leadership often lacks a clear vision for the future. It's tough when strategic decisions feel out of touch with the daily realities for people doing conference planning. Communication can be pretty bad from the top down.
Advice to Management: Focus on better communication and a more unified vision for the company. Really listen to what your teams on the ground are saying about the hospitality tech space.
