Okay Work-Life, Solid for Hybrid Roles
Pros: I've found the work-life balance for my Software Engineer role here to be okay. The hybrid model is good, letting me work from home most days. It's a big tech company so there's some stability.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines in the infrastructure software industry can get intense. You'll have some longer weeks when those hit, especially if you're working on a critical CAD development project. Management doesn't always manage expectations well.
Advice to Management: Try to better scope projects and communicate realistic timelines. It helps a lot with employee morale.

Pay is decent, but raises could be more frequent
Pros: The health benefits package is pretty solid for a big tech company. They cover a good chunk of medical and dental, which is a big plus. As a Software Engineer working on infrastructure software, I appreciate having decent coverage.
Cons: Salaries for many roles, especially for experienced folks, often lag behind industry averages for the AEC industry. Annual raises aren't very substantial. It's tough to get significant bumps without switching teams or roles.
Advice to Management: Management should really look at market rates for software engineering roles, especially within the competitive AEC industry. More competitive salaries and better annual raises would help with retention.

Solid Start, But Growth Can Be Slow
Pros: It's a solid place to learn the ropes as a Junior Software Engineer. The team here in the Exton, PA office is pretty supportive, and you get exposed to a lot of core infrastructure software development. The hybrid work setup is also a plus.
Cons: Career growth can feel slow after your initial ramp-up. There aren't many clear paths to move up for individual contributors, especially in our hybrid work model. Promotions don't come easy; you really have to push for them.
Advice to Management: Leadership should implement clearer career progression frameworks for individual contributors. More formal mentorship programs could also help staff identify growth opportunities within the company instead of leaving.
