Software Engineer

Career Growth Is What You Make It
Pros: As a Software Engineer, you get to work on pretty cool mesh networking tech. There's solid exposure to advanced wireless communications projects, especially in the Los Angeles office. You'll learn a ton if you're proactive about it.
Cons: Career progression isn't really structured; it's mostly up to you to figure out. Don't expect formal mentorship or clear promotion ladders for technical roles. If you're a Principal Engineer, it's tough to see what's next.
Advice to Management: Create more structured career paths and offer formal training or mentorship programs. Help employees see a clear future here beyond just current projects.

RF Engineer

Pay is okay, benefits need work.
Pros: The salary for an RF Engineer is competitive, especially in the Los Angeles area. They have a decent 401k match, which helps for long-term savings in the wireless communications industry.
Cons: Health insurance premiums are pretty high for a mid-sized tech company. There aren't many unique perks, which you sometimes see at other companies, and the PTO accrual is just average.
Advice to Management: Look into better health insurance options for employees. More competitive PTO from the start would also be a big plus for retention.
