Pros: People are pretty friendly and willing to help out, especially in engineering. There's a decent sense of community within teams, which is good for morale. The hybrid work model helps too.
Cons: Sometimes the corporate structure feels a bit slow. Innovation can get bogged down by too many approvals. It's not the most exciting fintech company culture out there, feels a bit dated.
Advice to Management: Try to streamline decision-making processes. Empower teams to innovate faster without so many hurdles.

Pros: The hybrid model is a definite plus for flexibility. My team in the Toronto office generally respects boundaries. It's not the crazy startup grind you hear about in the fintech industry.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines for currency exchange updates can be really tight. As a Software Engineer, you might have to work late if something critical pops up. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's something to be aware of.
Advice to Management: Try to improve project planning and resource allocation to minimize those last-minute crunch periods. It would greatly help with employee burnout.

Cons: Career growth isn't always super clear, especially as a Software Engineer. Sometimes management decisions feel a bit sudden, making you question your long-term spot in the Toronto office.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate changes more proactively. Also, creating clearer career paths for individual contributors would really help with retention.
