DWS is seeking an experienced
AWS DevOps Engineer to join our client on a high-impact cloud transformation initiative relating to business banking and merchant payment systems. This role will see you working across modern AWS environments, driving automation, scalability, and reliability through best-practice DevOps principles. You will play a key role in designing and supporting cloud-native solutions, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring robust infrastructure and operational excellence.

Salary: up to $850/day (ACN) / up to $200K (inc super)
Key Requirements:
- Strong Linux system administration experience including package management, user administration, process management, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and system hardening
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Ansible for automation, configuration management, and operational support
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, and ECS/EKS
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and AWS best practices
- Experience in designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience managing containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
- Strong understanding of AWS networking including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and DNS (Route 53, Cloudflare)
- Experience in disaster recovery planning, backups, and recovery processes including EBS snapshots and RDS backups
- Exposure to AMI lifecycle management including patching and upgrades
