Role Description
The Senior Associate, Programme Development will assist the programme development team in the design, development, and delivery of Ratio:Cause’s campaigns and programmes across various social impact focus areas: ESG, online safety, climate and community development. This role ensures all initiatives are evidence-based, scalable, aligned with client and programme partner needs, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
Programme Design & Development
- End-to-end development of new programmes, toolkits, trainings, and campaigns.
- Translate issues (such as online safety, climate change & environmental, drugs issues) into structured learning outcomes, modules, workplans, and measurable KPIs.
- Build programme frameworks, logic models, and theory of change where needed.
- Research global and regional best practices to strengthen programme content.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee together with the programme team the strategy of multiple programmes being implemented simultaneously by the operations team, ensuring programme strategy is followed and milestones and deliverables are met.
- Work closely with government agencies, private sector partners, international organisations and NGO partners.
- Prepare workplans, progress updates, evaluation reports, and recommendations for programme partners.
- Coordinate subject matter experts, and content developers as and when needed.
- Analyse programme impact and prepare insights for clients and partners.
- Recommend improvements and scalability plans.
Content & Training Development
- Oversee with the team the development of training decks, facilitator guides, activity sheets, and digital learning content.
- Ensure materials are relevant to Malaysian, ASEAN, and global contexts depending on target audience.
- Integrate current issues such as climate change and sustainability, AI and AI safety, digital citizenship, youth empowerment, and other relevant focus.
Partnerships & New Opportunities
- Support business development by drafting proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and concept notes.
- Identify emerging issues and opportunities for new partnerships or expansions.
- Attend and present at meetings, workshops, and industry discussions as needed.
Requirements
- At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in campaign development, programme development, or social impact initiatives.
- Strong campaign and programme design skills. Able to merge evolving social issues with creative and practical approaches.
- Relevant experience writing proposals, modules, decks, reports and able to simplify complex issues for different audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate strategy into measurable actions.
- Comfortable engaging stakeholders at senior levels in Bahasa Melayu and English.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Bahasa Melayu; additional languages are an advantage.
- Skilled in partnership building, stakeholder engagement, and managing cross-functional relationships.
- Familiarity with M&E tools, design thinking, or behaviour change frameworks.
- Understanding or experience in areas such as social impact, climate change and sustainability, education, online safety, migration, or youth issues is desirable.
- Versatile and able to work across diverse topics.
- Curious, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, multi-issue environments.
- Willingness to travel outstation and overseas.
