Job Purpose
The Inventory Officer supports day-to-day warehouse and inventory activities, ensuring accurate stock records, proper receiving and dispatch of items, and timely reporting. The role contributes to preventing stock discrepancies, maintaining availability of fast-moving products, and supporting smooth operations across Floward’s supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, product codes, and system entries.
- Support reconciliation of work orders to ensure accuracy of materials and products.
- Track inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstock or stock-outs.
- Escalate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
Receiving & Warehouse Coordination
- Assist in receiving incoming items, verifying quantities and quality against purchase requests.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse staff for timely and accurate processing.
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and assist in removal or transfer as required.
- Report any damages or losses to supervisor for corrective action.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly stock balance and stagnancy reports.
- Assist in generating inventory reports for management review.
- Track basic operational KPIs (stock accuracy, returns, defective items).
Compliance & Support
- Follow standard inventory and warehouse procedures to maintain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health guidelines.
- Assist in filing claims for defective or returned products when required.
- Provide support to cross-functional teams (Category, Sales, Procurement) in product availability and timely order fulfillment.
Skills And Qualifications
- Min 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud operations.
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Practical knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Experience working with Kubernetes (preferably EKS).
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of Flux CD or GitOps workflows.
- Comfortable using and supporting databases like PostgreSQL and DocumentDB.
- Good communication and teamwork skills — you enjoy solving problems collaboratively.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
