Work Flexibility Is Decent, Could Improve
It's a big logistics company with stable operations. The daily grind can be tough, especially for freight forwarding roles. Flexibility is okay, but not what I'd hoped for in the modern world.
You can sometimes adjust your start time in the Chicago office if you have an appointment. There's some understanding for occasional personal needs, which is good. We do get a few floating holidays which helps with time off.
Work from home options are super limited for Freight Forwarder roles, it's mostly onsite. The daily schedule is pretty rigid, which makes work-life balance a bit of a struggle. Don't expect a hybrid setup here for many operational positions.
Consider offering more hybrid options for roles that can support it, especially for experienced Freight Forwarders in the logistics industry. A bit more trust in employees could boost morale and retention.
