Decent Work-Life Balance for Corporate Roles
Pros: For hybrid work, the Minneapolis office is pretty flexible. Most weeks, I actually hit around 40 hours as a Supply Chain Analyst. There's a solid benefits package too, which helps.
Cons: During peak times in the global supply chain, expect longer hours. It's tough to truly disconnect when issues pop up. Sometimes projects get dropped last minute, throwing off your whole week.
Advice to Management: Try to even out the workload spikes more for global supply chain roles. Better planning upfront could prevent burnout.

Solid job security, but slow moving.
Pros: If you're looking for stability, this is it. Cargill is a massive global agribusiness, so they're pretty resilient. As a Supply Chain Analyst, I always felt secure in my role, even during tough economic times for the wider agricultural industry.
Cons: The trade-off for security is often slow career progression. Things move really slowly here, especially in the Minneapolis, MN office. It's tough to feel like you're making big waves.
Advice to Management: Find ways to speed up internal promotions and project assignments. Empower teams more to drive innovation without layers of approval.

Work-Life Balance is Okay, But It Varies
Pros: The hybrid work model is a big plus for work flexibility, especially for us in the Wayzata office. It really helps manage personal appointments. Plus, you get solid benefits working for a large corporate agribusiness like Cargill.
Cons: Work-life balance can definitely get tricky. As a Supply Chain Analyst, some weeks you're pulling 50+ hours, especially around peak season or big commodity trading deadlines. It's not always consistent.
Advice to Management: Try to make the workload more predictable. Managers should set clearer boundaries for after-hours work, especially for teams dealing with global supply chain issues. It would really help reduce burnout.
