Pretty good for hybrid work, but not perfect
Pros: The hybrid work option is a major plus for anyone in financial advisory. We could usually work from home two days a week, which really helped avoid the tough Chicago commute. It's nice not to be stuck in the office five days straight.
Cons: True flexibility for Junior Consultant roles can be tough. If a client needs you onsite for a last-minute meeting, your WFH day is basically gone. It felt like work-life balance was more talk than reality sometimes, especially around client deadlines.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into more consistent flexibility across different project teams. It's frustrating when some consultants get more WFH days than others, even in similar advisory roles.

Pay is decent, but benefits could use work
Pros: The base salary for a Junior Consultant is actually pretty solid for the financial advisory industry in Boston. They do offer a decent 401k match, which is a good perk for a growing company.
Cons: Annual raises are really small, don't expect big jumps. Health insurance options are pretty basic, nothing great. There aren't many other benefits or perks, especially compared to bigger tech or finance firms.
Advice to Management: Really need to look at annual raise structures and improve the health insurance plans. It'd help a lot with retention for the consulting staff.
