Pros: They're pretty understanding if you need to WFH occasionally for personal stuff, which is a big plus for work flexibility. The project leads try their best to manage scope, so most weeks are a solid 40 hours for us in the development teams. It's a decent environment for learning new tech in the IT services industry.
Cons: Sometimes client deadlines can be really tight, forcing longer hours, especially as a software engineer. This impacts your personal time. The hybrid work model can be inconsistent, sometimes feeling more onsite than expected in our Makati City office. The pressure to deliver for enterprise clients can be intense, which definitely affects work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Try to push back more on unrealistic client deadlines. Help teams avoid crunch time on software development projects. Standardize the hybrid model so it's more predictable for everyone.
