Pros: As a Senior Accountant, I did appreciate the option for hybrid work. It's not fully remote, but having those WFH days helped cut down on commute time in Manila. For an accounting firm, they're pretty decent about flexibility when it's not tax season.
Cons: When it's crunch time, especially year-end close or during audit season, the hours get really long. You can forget about work-life balance then. There's a lot of pressure, and I've seen some team members burn out.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage workloads during peak seasons. Burnout is a real issue for accounting professionals here. More clear boundaries on working hours would help everyone, especially for remote staff.
