Solid place for learning, growth needs structure
Pros: As a Software Engineer, you get to work on a lot of different features for their core SaaS platform. It's a great opportunity to learn new things and build a diverse skill set in construction tech. You really get ownership over your projects here at this growing startup.
Cons: Career growth isn't super structured for engineering roles. There isn't a clear path for promotions or much formal mentorship, especially when you're remote. You definitely have to be proactive about finding your next steps, it's not handed to you.
Advice to Management: Establish clearer career ladders and formal mentorship programs, especially for individual contributors. This would help employees visualize their long-term future at Bridgit and reduce ambiguity.

Culture's good, but growth feels slow sometimes
Pros: The team is super friendly, making the company culture really strong. Everyone's ready to help, which is awesome for a Software Developer. The remote work setup has been a lifesaver for my work-life balance.
Cons: Career progression isn't always clear, which is tough. As a startup in construction tech, we sometimes jump between project priorities a bit too much. It can feel like there's not a lot of structure for advancement.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer career progression paths for individual contributors, especially for those in technical roles. Standardize project management practices more consistently across teams.

Decent Pay, Benefits Need a Boost
Pros: The base salary for my Software Engineer role is solid, especially for remote work in the Canadian market. They do an okay job matching market rates for technical positions in construction tech.
Cons: I wish the health benefits were more comprehensive. The stock options program feels a bit stingy compared to other startups. It's tough to feel fully rewarded sometimes.
Advice to Management: Review the benefits package, especially healthcare and stock option grants. Being more competitive there would really help attract and keep top talent in the construction tech industry.
