Bosch set up operations in the Philippines in the colorful era of the 1920s. Its first location, Cebu, was set up in 1926 through a partnership with Swiss-owned agency, F.E. Zuellig, distributing automotive products. In April 1995, Robert Bosch Inc. was incorporated in Manila as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH.
In 2013, Bosch Philippines returned to its roots and opened its first business hub outside of Manila in Cebu. On the same year, Bosch further expanded footprint into Mindanao and opened its Davao business hub. Committed to reaching Filipino customers up to the far reaches, the Mindanao region is also home to Bosch’s Cagayan de Oro business hub, which was opened in 2016.
Bosch Philippines is active in all of the company’s four business sectors, namely: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. Its legal entity, Bosch Service Solutions, operates in two locations and provides voice and non-voice services to various industries globally.
