Max's Restaurant began in 1945 when Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford-educated teacher, befriended American troops in Quezon City. To serve them, he opened a cafe, where his niece Ruby Trota’s fried chicken recipe quickly became a hit.
Known for its Sarap-to-the-Bones® Fried Chicken and classic Filipino dishes, Max's grew into a beloved destination for family gatherings and celebrations, with locations across the Philippines and abroad.
