Pros: The base salary for a Marketing Specialist here is actually pretty competitive for the Austin, TX market. Health insurance benefits are decent too, definitely better than some smaller digital marketing agencies. They also offer a 401k match that's a solid perk.
Cons: Annual raises are really minimal, I've seen them barely beat inflation. There's not much in the way of performance bonuses or equity for regular growth marketing roles. Pay transparency across different roles could be a lot better too; it feels a bit opaque.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the annual raise structure and offer more clear paths for bonus opportunities, especially for senior individual contributors in digital marketing. Transparency around compensation bands would also help.

Pros: The health benefits here are actually pretty good for a startup in the SaaS industry. They've got a decent 401k match too. It's a solid foundation.
Cons: Base salary for a marketing professional feels a bit low for San Francisco, CA. Don't expect huge bonuses. Stock options are there, but the vesting schedule is slow.
Advice to Management: Look at bringing base salaries up to market rate, especially for key roles. Make stock option plans clearer for employees.

Pros: We have some really stable client accounts. That helps a lot. For a tech startup, it actually feels pretty secure. My role as a Software Engineer hasn't felt at risk much.
Cons: Funding rounds always make me nervous about the future. Project priorities can change fast here. So, even in the San Francisco office, you don't always feel totally settled.
Advice to Management: More transparency on company strategy would be great. Knowing the long-term plan could help reduce job security concerns for engineers.
