Pretty Good Work-Life Balance for Engineers
Pros: For most engineering roles, you can usually stick to 40-hour weeks. The hybrid work schedule lets me WFH a few days, which is a huge plus for managing personal stuff. Teams are pretty good about not scheduling late meetings.
Cons: Sometimes there's a push for releases, and things get tough. I've had some longer days during crunch times, which impacts work-life balance temporarily. Communication around these periods could be clearer.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage expectations around release cycles to reduce unexpected crunch. Consistency in project planning would help a lot.

Pay is okay, benefits need a boost
Pros: The base salary for a Junior Software Engineer here is pretty competitive for Austin, TX. I've seen worse, honestly. It's a solid starting point for someone new in the tech industry.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great, especially for a mid-size tech company. Our 401k match is pretty low, and the health plan options could be better. Don't expect huge annual bonuses either.
Advice to Management: Really look at the 401k match and health insurance plans. Improving these would make Elemnta much more attractive for software development talent. A better bonus structure wouldn't hurt either.

Decent projects, but job security is a real worry
Pros: As a Data Analyst here, the actual work is often engaging for an AI tech company, tackling cool problems. The team in the Austin, TX office is pretty supportive, and you learn a lot quickly on new features.
Cons: But is there good job security? Not really. There's a constant worry about restructuring or budget cuts, especially in these startup growth phases. It's hard to feel truly stable, even for folks with specialized skills.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating a more stable environment for employees. Constant fear of layoffs hurts morale and productivity and makes people look elsewhere.
