Pros: As a Product Manager, I actually had pretty good work-life balance here. The company really tried to promote hybrid work and discourage late nights. You could usually get your core responsibilities done within 40-45 hours a week.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines in software development would get tight, especially close to a launch. There wasn't much flexibility if you needed to leave early unexpectedly. The San Francisco office could feel a bit empty on remote-heavy days.
Advice to Management: Keep pushing the work-life balance culture, and maybe look into more flexible arrangements for unexpected personal needs.

Pros: The compensation package as a Software Engineer was pretty competitive for the Seattle tech industry. My base salary was solid, and the annual bonuses were a nice plus. Health insurance and the 401k match were decent, better than some other mid-sized tech companies.
Cons: Raises weren't as frequent as I hoped, and they felt a bit stingy sometimes. Stock options aren't really part of the package for most roles, which is a bummer. The benefit review process felt a little opaque.
Advice to Management: Revisit the compensation structure for long-term employees, especially regarding stock options for Software Engineer roles. More transparency in how raises and benefits are determined would help boost morale in our Seattle office.

Pros: The team dynamic as a Software Engineer at this tech startup was a big plus. You'll find people are genuinely friendly and it's a pretty welcoming vibe for new hires, especially in our Austin, TX office for hybrid work.
Cons: What's tough about the company culture here? It sometimes feels like leadership is a bit out of touch with day-to-day individual contributor challenges. Decision-making can be opaque, and the atmosphere can get cliquish.
Advice to Management: Focus on consistent communication from senior leadership and ensure all teams feel equally valued and informed. Transparency would go a long way in improving the overall company culture.
